Self Help Materials

Self Help Modules

Centre for Clinical Interventions offer free self-help materials to help with a range of difficulties, including:

Headspace

Headspace is advertised as ‘Meditation made simple.’  It is digital health platform, providing guided meditation sessions and mindfulness training. Their content can be accessed online, or via their mobile app, used by more than 2 million people, in 150 countries.

How can mindfulness meditation help you? For thousands of years, meditators have claimed many benefits for their practice. Our experience, and that of Headspace members, suggests that regular mindfulness practice, through meditation, is an effective treatment for stress, worry, lack of focus, relationship problems, addictions and more. It leads to peace of mind and wellbeing, greater focus and creativity and better relationships.

Moodzone

Moodzone is provided by the NHS website.  Whatever you need to know about coping with stress, anxiety or depression, or just generally improving your emotional wellbeing, the NHS Choices Moodzone is here to help. It offers practical, useful information, interactive tools, and videos to support you on your way to feeling better.

Men Get Eating Disorders Too

Men Get Eating Disorders Too have created a film of interviews with men sharing their stories of bravery and resilience, sending a message of hope to all sufferers. Their account is supported by poetic re-enactments, which are accompanied by extracts of other men's stories. "The aim of the film is to offer an alternative representation of eating disorders in men, which are often ignored or misjudged by the medias.” (Sam Thomas)
